I purchased this lovely piece of dark blue silk with the intention of making a suit.  While watching the Canada Day fireworks display my friend, Trudy, and I realized at the same moment, that fireworks would be the perfect embellishment. It was accepted into the 2001 Canadian Quilters’ Association / Association canadienne de la courtepointe (CQA / ACC) National Juried Show.
