There will be an exhibition of my work including wall quilts and thread paintings at the Charlotte Glencross Gallery , Charlotte St. Arts Centre.
I was very pleased to learn that I had been chosen for a Fredericton Arts Alliance 1 week residency in the Casemates at the Garrison District in downtown Fredericton New Brunswick. My week will be July 2-8 with the Casemates being open 10 am to 5 pm daily. The theme for this year’s residencies is the Saint John river. Beginning with my own photograph I will make the drawing, transfer it to fabric, paint the fabric and then stitch using my sewing machine and free motion embroidery to add texture and dimension to betray this National Historic site which means ” good and beautiful ” river. I hope many will visit during the week to see the progress.
I wanted to show a beautiful NB river for my post card for the CQA fund raiser coming at the national conference in Vancouver.
